Look at these two pictures...
And think for a moment...
These pictures above entail that with patience best thing happens,
So if you are willing to be successful, you are willing to delay or defer your Gratification.
There is a research done by Stanford University About Delayed Gratification if you wanted to know how it is done, Please watch the video below.
(Note: This is not the Research done by the Stanford University but the YouTube video below is the actual experiment. It is called The Marshmallow Test)
Maybe most of us will buy the things we want after our paycheck come in our pocket, now this is a very poor decision or very low financial IQ.
Wants vs. Needs
Needs are things you have to have but
Wants are things you would like to want
One of the biggest factors of those people who are successful are people who put aside their wants so
that in the future they will have the slice of having a prosperous and abundant life.
By means of truly living life and not surviving a Day.
By Experience, I usually end up sometimes buying what I want. I am guilty in most cases that I buy things that have no real relevance.
furthermore....
we all have that attitude that we always say that you need this but end up having it thrown into a garbage bin or in the closet.
The truth is sometimes our NEEDS also becomes our WANTS. how? by buying an excess to what we need. meaning buying more of the things we need even though we have enough.
yeah. maybe because we are truly never satisfied?
satisfying is something that usually a result of lacking in something. Like to comfort ourselves so we buy things that aren't needed and ending up in a disastrous state, wherein we incur Bad debt in our credit card/s or from someone.which, by the way, isn't Good.
soooooooooooooo,.,,,
what is the real problem?
The problem is internal, this is what I learn...
We always thought that dealing the problem externally is a Good idea right? But most of the time this are just quick fix meaning this will happen again and again.
So the real issue is internal, most of the problems that we thought are external is really an internal problem.
And Science has proven this, that most diseases that happen externally are fixed internally! the same Goes psychologically.
So if you wanted to buy, let's say a drum set or wanted to go on a trip. In order to do that you need to learn how to defer something in order to buy a Good Drumset or Go to the trip you always wanted. Learn how to defer something you don't need so that you can achieve it.
That's the power of being Patience. Now you know!!!
